A CV that works for Island employers
Local employers often read every CV themselves, usually between other jobs. Make it easy for them.
Put the useful bits first
Name, phone, town and a two-line summary of what you do. Say if you drive and whether you are free to start soon.
Show what you did, not just where
Under each job, give two or three lines about what you were responsible for. Numbers help: covers served, customers looked after, jobs completed.
Keep it to two pages
One is fine early in your career. Save it as a PDF so it looks the same on any device.
No CV yet?
You can apply for many jobs here without one. A couple of clear lines about you and your experience goes a long way.
